Which living person do you most admire?

For a famous person, I’d choose David Attenborough.

He’s 94 and still working so enthusiastically and wanting to learn more.

He has so much love for the planet and has spent his life trying to improve his own knowledge, and to teach others while exploring and caring for it.

What is your current state of mind?

Calm and happy. I’m feeling very lucky and privileged right now.

But I’m eager to travel home and see family and friends.

When and where were you happiest?

Life keeps getting better. I’m happiest making new illustrations, animations, and designed goods, and spending time with my wife. I’ve been doing so much of that lately so I’m happy out.

Where would you most like to live?

Luckily I’m living where I want to be right now, in Brooklyn, New York.

But these crazy times have made me crave nature and home. I’d love to one day have a small place in Kerry somewhere in or around Caherdaniel.

What do you most value in your friends?

Kindness, self-awareness, laughter, cheekiness.

What is your most treasured possession?

My Cintiq and photoshop to digitally draw and animate with, and my skateboard.

Who are your heroes in real life?

Professionally: An Irish animator and illustrator.

Personally: Hopefully, I’m known to be friendly and kind, and up for a laugh.

What is your motto? 

To have self-belief in what you’re making, take it step by step instead of thinking about it all at once and letting fear creep in, to keep at it, and it’ll get done.
