A short new film created for the Lá Fhéile Bríde / St Brigid’s Day global Irish Festival of 2022, celebrating the poetry and life of Eiléan Ni Chuilleanáin. Produced by Hamilton Gallery, Sligo, in association with Irelands Department of Foreign Affairs, the film introduces the new poem “St Brigid’s Well” written by Eiléan, The opportunity to create the film arose from an exhibition of new artworks by 86 women artists, who were responding to a poem specially commissioned from Eiléan. The poem was published for the first time in the catalogue for the exhibition and receives its first public reading by the author in this film. The exhibition opened as part of Lá Fhéile Bríde celebrations on Feb 1st, St Brigids Day 2022.
