The Consulate’s monthly First Friday Networking Breakfast and speaker series will return on Friday, February 4 at 8am, with special guest Terry Golway, senior editor at POLITICO. Consul General Helena Nolan, in conversation with author Yvonne Cassidy, will discuss the story of St. Brigid, and how Irish Embassies and Consulates abroad use Brigid’s Day to showcase the work of trailblazing, inspirational women who are making their mark across a range of fields. Yvonne Cassidy will then speak with Terry Golway about prominent women in NY public life historically, including those with links to Irish-America, and discuss the unique moment we are at presently, with an unprecedented number of women in senior roles in New York public life.

This St Brigid’s Day event is a programme brought to you by the Department of Foreign Affairs.
