The Embassy of Ireland in Germany and the Consulate General of Ireland in Frankfurt am Main, in cooperation with Literature Ireland, present a new showcase of female literary talent whose books are yet to be published in the German language.
Irish literature is famous all over the world and presently female writers are being celebrated more than ever before. We are delighted to share with German language publishers, translators, and literary fans alike, some fresh new Irish talent that has never before been enjoyed through the German language.
To celebrate St. Brigid’s day on February the 1st, a day that marks the first day of Spring in the Irish calendar, the Embassy have commissioned the translations of the opening segments of six exciting Irish writers that will be showcased during the online event along with an introduction and Q+A with the writers themselves.
