Today 7th November, To Be Irish unveils its annual Christmas Gifting Guide, featuring over 150 Irish businesses, makers, and creatives from all over the world. With offerings from right here at home to France, Germany, and New Zealand – to name just a few – wherever you are in the world, you can buy Irish this holiday season.

Marking its third Christmas season, the To Be Irish Gifting Guide is just one exciting part of the To Be Irish global holiday celebrations. From the 14th – 25th of December, this Department of Foreign Affairs initiative opens the door to the Irish diaspora & those who have a grá for Ireland at home and abroad to celebrate the season together, wherever we may be. Huku Balance offers environmentally friendly balance boards and yoga products designed and made in Creeslough, Donegal using only natural, sustainable materials.

Waters + Wild, based in beautiful West Cork, is an organic perfumery specialising in vintage perfumes using the finest raw and organic ingredients locally sourced (seaweed, lavender, rosemary and gorse), and from around the world.

JANDO, with a showroom based in Dublin is a thriving family-run printmaker creating striking visuals that capture Ireland’s built and natural heritage, as well as colourful totes, mugs, greeting cards and more.

In Australia, Laura Gilmore Irish Art offers a glimpse of home with unique, nostalgic paintings of Ireland.

Margareta Ruysschaert Photography is a Dublin-based, Luxembourg-born visual artist and photographer. Her work is heavily inspired by her multicultural upbringing and her time spent in Ireland.

Tonfisk Design in Finland – created by Irish born designer Brian Heaney creates inventive, functional homewares – famed for his unique use of porcelain with wood.

Chou’s Cottage run by French couple Julie and Paul. Chou’s Cottage was founded in Clonmel in 2018, showcasing over 80 Irish designers and makers with an environmental focus.

Ninfa Studio based in Marlay Park, Dublin 16 features biophilic moss art to enrich indoor spaces – designed by Italian born Paola Di Legge.

Orwell and Browne has been weaving the finest Donegal Merino yarn for three generations. They supply beautifully made wool products from hats, scarves, throws and bespoke gift boxes.
